Individual lessons: How does it work?
During weekly lessons, the teacher and student interact at two pianos. The teacher demonstrates a movement, a sound or a rhythm on one piano and the student plays it back almost instantly on the other piano. Students can remember a lot when they play it back almost instantly.
With two pianos a lot of skill can be transferred in a short time. Students make the quickest progress by taking a weekly one hour private lesson, practicing every day and playing with other student pianists in a weekly Team Piano rehearsal.
